About
About
Dingal AI Research is a one-person research practice working on the evaluation and behaviour of AI systems.
Dingal AI Research is one researcher, working independently, on a narrow set of questions about how AI systems behave and how that behaviour should be measured.
It is not an institute and there is no team. The formal tone of this site is a preference for how research should be written up, not a claim about its size.
How the work runs
- Questions are chosen for being answerable at this scale, not for being important in the abstract.
- Methods are written down before the runs happen, so the result cannot quietly become whatever the data suggested.
- Everything finished gets published, including the results that undercut earlier ones.
- Code and data are released wherever I have the right to release them.
Independence
There is no external funding attached to any published result. If that changes, the funder and the terms will be named on the work itself.
